Our Cabbage Salsa Recipe and Tutorial
Spread the love
Tuesdays mean tacos around the Half Acre, and we go all out on the side dishes. We always include Mexican Rice, and cabbage salsa and always look forward to leftovers for lunch on Wednesday!
To make our tasty cabbage salsa you will need:
- Cabbage- one small or 1/2 medium
- Tomatoes- I usually use 2
- Cilantro- I use a whole bunch
- Pickled Jalapenos, including the brine -I used my own, but any store bought pickled Jalapeno will do…try to get the ones that also have onions and carrots in them…tasty!
- Salt, pepper, garlic to taste
Chop, mix and enjoy!
This is a great chip dippin’ salsa, or topping for tacos. Best of all it’s a very satisfying and hearty base for your next taco salad. Much tastier than basic lettuce!
Give it a try…you won’t be sorry!

This recipe looks amazing!
We’re about to see a break into warmer weather and that means switching up our menus. I can see this salsa going great with our fish tacos- we either do tilapia or haddock.
Thank you for sharing. I’m sure the kids are going to love it:)
It’s great with fish tacos! We usually do halibut (we have an really good source) but have also used rockfish and cod. I think it’s great with any white fish. –or pork, chicken, beef, all alone with a fork and a bowl– really it’s good any way you use it!
I love this recipe one that I will be sharing with the ladies in our family thanks for sharing with me
